I love the Red Hot Chili Peppers
I finally got the chance to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers in concert. True, they’re no longer at the height of their popularity, but they are still an extremely amazing band. I’d love to have seen them in the 90s, but the big bands don’t perform anywhere near me until long after they make it big. Such is the problem with living in a small town. After seeing the band perform City of Angels on state, I have decided I want to learn to play the guitar. Although I cannot help to perform the song with the band’s same depth or share their love for Los Angeles, I can still use the music to soothe my own moods or even learn to play the songs of other bands.
True, no band quite matches the awesomeness of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, but it would still be cool to be able to rattle of some of the greatest music of all time. Sure, my friends may look at me a little oddly if I rattle off Paperback Writer, but I can break into Weird Al parodies of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, too.
All I have to do is make a promise not to play anything by Nirvana and most of the people who know me will be extremely happy with my decision. They’ll be even happier when I become proficient in learning how to play the instrument. So now I will start to learn guitar.
